The Antipolo Cathedral, or the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Antipolo City, Rizal. It houses the centuries-old image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage that was enshrined by pilgrims since the 1600s. It protects its believers, especially travelers, and thus is deeply historical and spiritually significant to Filipinos.
It is designed in modern architectural style in a round shape to symbolize unity and devotion. Its spacious interior and the large dome make it flooded with natural light inside, thus providing a peaceful and sacred environment within. It is one of the famous pilgrimage sites in the country, especially during May for the pilgrimage season, where hundreds of devotees come from all parts of the country to pay homage to the Virgin Mary.
It plays a very important role in religious events, including processions, fiestas, and devotions, aside from the regular Masses and sacraments. It is also identified with the people's traditional faith by going in "alay-lakad," where pilgrims walk towards the cathedral as one way of offering their faith. The Antipolo Cathedral remains among travelers and devotees as an important spiritual haven.
